Sock Drive and Open Studio Holiday Sale

It’s the time of the year where we host an open studio sale for last-minute shopping before the holidays. As a small business owner who sells retail products, this is an important time of year for the business. I value every person who chooses to shop small with garbella. It can also be a time of excess and I would like to give back in a small way by providing a simple amenity that most of us take for granted every day: clean socks.

This year, we’re hosting a sock drive for the homeless. Foot care is a very important health issue for the homeless as they typically spend a lot of time on their feet. Fresh, clean socks can help prevent foot infections and provide some extra comfort to area homeless. I’m asking you to help, but I’ll also be offering discounts in exchange for socks and will be matching sock donations for every item sold.

All socks will be distributed directly to homeless through Operation Safety Net.

There are several ways to donate and we will be matching all sales with sock donations:

1) Bring a pair of new socks to donate and enjoy some drinks and food. No purchase necessary.

2) Sponsor socks by making a monetary donation. Socks will be purchased wholesale, so approximately every $1.50= 1 pair of socks. Stay and enjoy snacks, drinks, and good company.

3) All new sock donors receive 20% off your order that evening.

4) On all other sales, we will donate a pair of socks for every item sold.
