Lawrenceville Corporation is Hiring!

A message from LC’s Board of Directors: LC is looking for our next Executive Director!

It’s with bittersweet feelings that we announce that our current Executive Director, Lauren Connelly, will be moving on from the Lawrenceville Corporation in a few weeks. We appreciate Lauren’s leadership over these past three years as our Executive Director and for the previous decade as an LC Board Member and partner.

Lauren’s leadership during a time of significant transition for the organization, and in the wake of challenges brought by COVID-19, has been invaluable to the organization’s long-term stability, sustainability, and success. We thank Lauren for her work in overseeing the final pieces of transitioning LC’s Community Land Trust Programming to the creation of the City of Bridges Community Land Trust, for recruiting and building a talented team of community-development practitioners leading the work underway at LC, and for working to advance critical long-term and new projects.

Lauren will join the Greater Pittsburgh Chamber of Commerce, an affiliate of the Allegheny Conference on Community Development, as the Vice President of Local Government Affairs and Policy Advocacy. Advancing the Allegheny Conference’s vision to achieve a vital, globally competitive region for all, the Chamber advocates at the local, state, and federal levels of government on issues important to improving the economy and quality of life in the 10-county Pittsburgh region. While we are sad to see Lauren go, we wish her well and look forward to seeing her continue her work at a more regional level. We know we still will get to see Lauren around the neighborhood and at community events as a Lawrenceville resident.

This means that we are now looking for our next Executive Director. It is an exciting time for the Lawrenceville Corporation and we are looking for a passionate, innovative, and thoughtful leader to join our team and lead our organization and the Lawrenceville community into the future.
