On Sunday, May 20, travel Lawrenceville’s business district and find something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue. Over 35 unique businesses will be featured in the inaugural Lawrenceville Wedding Walk, a tour of the neighborhood that highlights wedding products and services found in 15201.
The walk begins at Paul Michael Design (3453 Butler Street). Preregistered guests can check in, pick up a wedding walk map, receive a complimentary wedding walk tote-bag and tour the neighborhood to find the perfect fit for their special day. Day of event registration will also be available.
The walk spans from the 5200 block of Butler Street to parts of Penn Avenue and 34th Street. Stores will keep their own hours, but generally most are open between 11am and 5pm.
One lucky visitor can win a gift basket with local wedding goodies after visiting a minimum of 15 participating businesses along the walk. Get a sticker from each shop owner and enter to win the raffle by turning in tickets at Spirit Hall (242 51st Street).
A shuttle will be available to transport guests through Butler Street and Penn Avenue. Look for the red shuttle stop signs to hitch a ride courtesy of Pittsburgh Transportation Group from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
