Event Details
This rejuvenating workshop will begin with creating an intention, a Sankalpa.
Habit and thought patterns will be explored through the meditative healing practice of iRest Yoga Nidra. Yoga postures using the support of props will open the neck and shoulders as well as the hips to release tension and prepare the body for deep breathing practices.
The openness of the body/breath will then be connected to openness of a meditative state and the grace of just being regardless of circumstance. Integrative breathing practices will fortify the immune and nervous systems for resilience and the ability to manage stress while being in an open state. Core work will give stability to the above practices for a centered stabilized self in the body to integrate openness with the power of your intention.
This workshop covers active and supported asanas, physical postures, as well as pranayama, breathing techniques and supine restful nidra practices.
(Handouts and folder covering workshop material included. Wear warm comfortable clothing. Bring a journal or pen and paper.)
