“LOLA” stands for Lower Lawrenceville, a community that has played a big role in co-owner Zoë’s life, “LOLA” also translates to “Grandmother” in the Filipino language. Co-owner (and Zoe’s husband) Max’s Filipino and Mexican background brings a unique inspiration to their dishes while the baked delights are fashioned from Zoë’s imagination and nonpareil pastry skill.
In December of 2019, Max and Zoë Blume opened Lola’s intending to offer Lawerencevile a brunch spot that offered dishes that not only included Filipino/Mexican influenced dishes but also fresh-baked bagels, customized cakes, delicious donuts, and so many more.
