Anthony and Marlyn: The pioneers of Venezuelan culture enlightenment in the United States. The dream of these two young cooks became a reality in a unique project in 2009. Marlyn, with her husband Anthony, opened their restaurant Gusto Criollo located in the beautiful island of Margarita, Venezuela.

In 2015, the political and social changes of Venezuela made the life of the Goncalves Parra family take an unexpected turn. Together with their two young daughters, Sakura and Alana, the Family packed. their belongings and embarked on a trip that would lead them to Pittsburgh, PA and an entire new life. Three years later, with a better understanding of the entrepreneurial climate in the United Stares, Anthony and Marlyn opened the doors to Cilantro & Ajo. And in the following year, with the same passion, they started their first food truck.

Without a doubt, this family has become the pioneers of Venezuelan culture enlightenment in the United States. The roots of this project which are intertwined with the proud culture of the Venezuelan tri-color flag has rewarded them with a continuous growth in guests and friends.
