Helmed  by Sam Turich and written by Gab Cody and Rita Reis, Fat Beckett is the second Quantum production to come to Lawrenceville, along with the October 2010 performance of When The Rain Stops Falling.

Valentine's Day is bringing new arrivals of cards by Libby DePalma of Cannonsburg and handknit scarves by Helene Stokan of Lawrenceville.  Helene's new scarves of soft yarns and pastel colors can easily be worn into the Spring.  And don't forget the newborn and toddlers!  A bumpercrop of baby hats by Karen Ruhloff of Lawrenceville has been delivered and I have a feeling there are more being knit.  Another suggestion for that special Valentine, Honey for your Honey.  There's plenty of the ever popular local honey from Steffes/Wood Apiary in Alliquippa.

Pittsburgh native Laurie Trok's art encompasses a wide range of media -collage, traditional painting, drawings on paper, three dimensional mobiles and stabiles, large scale installations and video while found and discarded materials frequently inspire her creativity.

Her exhibition Don't Go Back to Bed will be the opening exhibition of her solo work at the Morris-Levy Gallery at 3634 Penn Ave, on December 10th, from 7:00pm - 11:00pm. Refreshments will be available with music by Jonathan Cordle and Dave McKelvey.
